Loving, Growing and Sharing the Good News in Emmaus, Pennsylvania

St. Margaret's Member Sheep (c)

O God, whose Son Jesus is the Good Shepherd of your people:  Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who calls us each by name, and follow where he leads: who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever.

Amen.

One Flock, One Shepherd

I am one of the "Member Sheep"(c) of St. Margaret's Church.

I belong to the flock that follows the Good Shepherd as we graze on God's Grace.

Keep and care for me.

Share me.

Use me.

Display me.

I am a whimsical witness...

Care and Feeding of Your "Member Sheep"(c)

Put your "Member Sheep" in a prominent spot in your yard, porch, deck, picture window, or other place in your home.

Anticipate the question, "What is that?"  Be ready to answer.  Here are two suggestions:

"It's my "Member Sheep" from St. Margaret's Church. It reminds me of the Good Shepherd.

OR

"That is my "Member Sheep." We had fun making them at Church. They are all cut out the same, but each is decorated differently.  Mine is a _______ sheep."

Have fun with your "Member Sheep." Maybe it might like to join others in a flock for a "Member Sheep" Dinner or a "Sheep-over." Maybe your "Member Sheep" would like to go with you to visit relatives or a shut-in, on vacation, or to church.

Grow in your own commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ as you meditate on the fullness of Holy Scripture. Read Psalm 23, John 10.

Strenghten your ties to the flock. Be regular in worship and give to support the mission and ministry of St. Margaret's Church. Offer your time and talents. Join in fellowship activities. Visit shut-ins. Help welcome newcomers. Pray for the clergy and leadership.

There may come a time when you feel moved to give away your "Member Sheep" to encourage or cheer another person. Let your sheep go.

A digital picture story book is being compiled. All our "Member Sheep" have been numbered and photographed. Help us collect their stories. Where did your "Member Sheep" go?  What did your "Member Sheep" do? How did it witness? Jot down moments you want to remember and send them in.

Come with your "Member Sheep" to church on Good Shepherd Sunday. The flock will gather. Weather permitting, our sheep will graze in the front of St. Margaret's Church.
