Altar Guild
The Altar Guild strives to create in the sanctuary a setting that honors God and invites reverence and worship. Its members place and maintain all vessels, linens, vestments, paraments, candles, flowers and books that liturgy requires.

2005 Annual Report
The Altar Guild is a group of women dedicated to serving God by preparing and tending the altar and sanctuary. Their work is a thank offering of time and many talents, a ministry of love.
Altar work goes on quietly behind the scenes to prepare the altar each week. Linens are cleaned and pressed and flowers are ordered and arranged. Communion wafers, wine and candles are replenished and vessels are cleaned and polished. During Lent, Holy Week and Christmas special settings and decorations are prepared by the altar workers.
Members of the Altar Guild are: Colleen Bernini, Joan Brown, Jennifer Burkhardt, Sara Cardinale, Cindy Geist, Carla Holdridge, Kathy Leber, Charlotte Peterson, Joanne Reid, Sue Schaffner, Phyllis Schantzenbach, Marion Shannon and Maggie Werner (Mickie Cardinale is a substitute).
Phyllis Schantzenbach is the flower coordinator. Sue Schaffner and Colleen Bernini coordinate the Wednesday services, Phyllis Schantzenbach, Joan Brown (Jenny Wager is an alternate) set up for second service each Sunday morning, and Marion Shannon launders the linens.
The Altar Guild thanks everyone who has donated flowers for the services. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex for flower.donations or you may call Phyllis Schantzenbach. When you donate flowers please tell Phyllis who they are in memory of or thanksgiving for. It would also be helpful if donors indicate who the flowers are to go to after the service. The florist, George's Greenhouse, will bill the donors for the flowers. For special Christmas and Easter flower donations Phyllis will ask to have the donations sent to her.
This year memorial money designated for the Altar Guild was used to purchase blue Advent paraments.
Respectfully Submitted,
