Adopt-a-Family
In the weeks before Christmas each year a tree is set up in the rear of the church. Tags are hung with the wishes of some needy families in the East Penn school district. People
who would like to participate take a tag, purchase and return their wrapped gift with the tag attached in time for them to be given to the families before Christmas.
Christophany
Each spring the youth of our diocese attend a retreat which includes a service project. Donations from parishes around the diocese are prepared and packaged by the teens for delivery to the agencies selected to distribute them. St. Margaret's is a generous supporter of the annual Christophany collection.
Emmaus Food Bank
Baskets at both entrances to our worship space are always ready to receive donations of non-perishable food. Their presence is highlighted on the second Sunday of each month and the food is transported to Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, where the Emmaus Food Bank is located.
Halloween Parade Hospitality
Each year the Emmaus Halloween parade
assembles in the street alongside St. Margaret's. The church opens its doors so parade participants might use its facilities while they await their turn to march. Additional hospitality is provided in the form of a refreshment stand, whose proceeds are then given to the Emmaus Food Bank.
Sacred Heart Pediatric Clinic
A collection box at the
entrance to our worship space receives donations of
toothbrushes and toothpaste which are taken to the pediatric clinic at Sacred Heart Hospital. They are given to children who often have never had their own toothbrush.
School Supplies
School supplies are collected each year in August and distributed to an area school in September.
